Workcover, CTP & DVA for Physiotherapy Services

Movement Laboratory is an approved physio provider for Third Party claims. All of our Physiotherapists are trained and accredited to treat under the Workers Compensation scheme. Once you have obtained approval for your injury, please contact us to book in your initial consultation, and let us know your insurance details and case number. Our Workcover, CTP, and DVA services are fully funded and billed to your insurance company or DVA.
You will work closely with your physio, your nominated treating doctor, your insurer, and any other necessary health professionals to ensure a timely and successful return to your pre-injury status.
We work with Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Injury Claims.
Frequently Asked Questions
What services do Workers’ Compensation, CTP, and DVA injury claims cover?
Services covered by Workers’ Compensation, CTP, and DVA include initial physiotherapy appointments, consecutive physiotherapy appointments, extended physiotherapy sessions, and clinical physio-led classes, as well as any supportive products, such as a brace, crutches, or exercise equipment.
How long can I stay on workers’ compensation?
In NSW, workers’ compensation is available for a maximum of 260 weeks (5 years) for injured workers. The maximum period can be extended depending on the extent of the injury, the employer’s negligence, and if you are an exempt worker, such as a paramedic, police officer, or firefighter.
Do I need to provide information about workers’ compensation before my appointment?
Yes, your GP will need to organise your workers’ compensation paperwork before you see one of our physiotherapists. Paperwork will include your date of injury, claim number, insurer, and contact details of your case manager and GP. Your GP will also provide a “Certificate of Capacity”, outlining any restrictions on your working capacity.
Workers Compensation

Our main goal is to get you back at work as soon as possible. We communicate frequently with your case manager and workplace to ensure we understand the nature and effects of the injury, and what is required to get you back to work. As you are gradually returning to full duties, we provide occupational conditioning to keep you strong and perform your duties with good movement patterns, to prevent future recurrence.
Compulsory Third Party (CTP)

Physiotherapy is vital for someone recovering from a motor vehicle accident. There are physical injuries and also psychological effects from the incident, and it is important that we have a structured treatment plan to guide you through your recovery.
Department of Veteran Affairs

We help with the injury management and rehabilitation of members of our defence forces. We are able to take White Card and Gold Card DVA patients. Regardless of the injury, our physiotherapists will work with you to get back to the physical shape required of your position.
