Do you want to use your body to its full potential?
Do you hear the same corrections from your teachers all the time?
Do you have a competition season coming up and need extra conditioning work?
Have you been injured and need clinical rehab with a dance physio?
Is there a particular milestone you want to achieve and is somewhat stuck in progression?
As part of our Clinical Conditioning, our dance physiotherapists Winnie and Natalie have put together our Dance Conditioning program. Our program is popular among full-time ballet and contemporary dance students, as well as professional dancers from various dance backgrounds such as Pole, Musical Theatre, Ballroom and Latin dance.
Our Dance Classes are held in small groups (maximum three people) by our dance physios. We use Pilates equipment to strengthen a range of muscle groups that will enhance your dance performance. In addition to improving your dance performance, we also use these classes to provide clinical rehabilitation for our dancers when injured.
Our dance physios are certified general and pelvic floor health physiotherapists, with experience in treating dance injuries, pelvic floor dysfunctions, and managing chronic pain conditions. We are also certified Pilates instructors, trained with Stott, APPI, Polestar and PilatesITC.
We have close relationships with dance studios nearby, and frequently communicate with teachers and the company to collaborate on what works best for the dancer.

Dance Conditioning FAQs
Dance conditioning focuses on muscle endurance. Unlike weight training, where the goal is to lift heavy for fewer repetitions, conditioning lowers the weight load and focuses on more repetitions to build stamina and strength. Dance conditioning ensures dancers can endure routines and practices to the best of their technical and performance ability.
Yes, before joining our dance classes, you will see our dance physios for an individual consultation. During your consultation, we will conduct a physical assessment, identify any root causes, and determine that you are performing exercise correctly and safely. From your initial consultation, our dance physios can modify or advance movements in classes to ensure you are progressing at a steady rate.
