We specialise in physiotherapy for professional dancers and women, delivered by a team of Australian Physiotherapy Association-approved physios.

How Telehealth/Online Physiotherapy Works

Starting your physiotherapy journey online with Movement Laboratory is straightforward and designed for your convenience. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to access our expert physiotherapist online:
Submit a booking online or call us at (02) 9029 2449 to schedule a telehealth physio appointment. For online bookings, please select the ‘Online Consult’ option.
We’ll send you a condition form to fill out and return to us for our physiotherapists to understand what you need help with. We may ask you to send photos of the injury before your first session.
You’ll need a laptop or computer with a camera, internet and a quiet private space at home. We’ll send you a link and more info on how to join the online appointment. Make sure you have enough space to move and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow us to see the affected area.
Our physio will meet with you online to discuss your injury and guide you through treatment.
If your condition requires specialist attention, we’ll refer you to an appropriate healthcare provider. More importantly, if we can’t assist you, we won’t charge for the consultation.
Remember, our goal at Movement Laboratory is to make your online physiotherapy experience as effective and seamless as possible. The preparation you do before the call is crucial in maximising the treatment and management of your injury.
Can’t attend a physio appointment in person? Our online consultations allow you to access expert physiotherapy advice and treatment from the comfort of your home.

What to Expect During Your Online Physio Appointment

Our telehealth physio services are open to new and existing clients.
If you’ve seen us before for physio sessions at the clinic but can’t get to us in person, you can book an online appointment with your physio instead. Your physio will catch up on your condition and continue treatment from where you left off.
For new appointments, your telehealth physio appointment will start with a brief intro from one of our physios, then a chat about the injury or condition that’s affecting you. From there, our physios will take you through a virtual physical assessment to assess your physical condition.
Once we’ve got a good understanding of your injury, we’ll provide a diagnosis and create a treatment plan to address the underlying cause of the issue. In future sessions, your physio will guide you through exercises you can do at home to strengthen and increase flexibility in the affected areas. We’ll also give you partner massage and mobilisation techniques you can do in your own time to manage your condition and aid recovery.
