Katy graduated with a Doctorate of Physiotherapy from Macquarie University after working for ten years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and movement coach. She is passionate about working with women and has worked with patients in all stages of their pre and post natal rehab.
Katy’s treatment approach focuses on gradually building strength and re-training movement patterns in a safe and comfortable environment so patients gain confidence to achieve their long term goals. As a physiotherapist, she utilises manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilisation, dry needling and Active Release Therapy (ART) as well as education, movement re-training and exercise therapy.
Katy is trained in Clinical Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
Outside the clinic, she is passionate about positive psychology and philosophy. She loves cooking, yoga, pilates, beach workouts and meditating.
